WardWizard ties up with Sunconnect of Singapore to manufacture lithium-ion batteries

New Delhi, May 4 (PTI) Two-wheeler electric vehicle maker Wardwizard Innovations and Mobility Ltd has entered into an agreement with Singapore-based renewable energy management consultancy Sunconnect for the production of lithium-ion batteries.

The objective of this agreement is to promote exploration and study of the production of state-of-the-art lithium-ion batteries in India.

Under the agreement, Sunconnect will form a committee of experienced scientists, engineers and analysts.

The committee will also identify and evaluate professional partners and prepare plans for setting up a 1 GW battery production plant at Wardwizard’s electric vehicle subsidiary.

Their expertise will help us identify the right partner and plan for setting up a state-of-the-art Lithium Ion battery manufacturing unit in our EV ancillary cluster within 15 to 18 months.”
