Vodafone Idea Foundation and Ericsson to set up ‘robotic labs’ in ten schools

New Delhi, May 5 (PTI) Vodafone Idea Foundation, the corporate social responsibility arm of telecom company Vodafone-Idea Limited (VIL), has joined hands with Ericsson India to set up ‘robotic labs’ in ten schools in the country.

Giving this information in a statement, the company said that the objective of this initiative is to equip the students of the underprivileged with digital skills.

VIL said, “Vodafone Idea Foundation and Ericsson India have partnered to create a skilled force for the future right from the school level and under this, state-of-the-art robotic labs will be set up in ten schools across the country. This will provide new-age learning experiences to students from disadvantaged communities and prepare them for future technology studies.

According to the statement, these digital labs will be set up in Vodafone Idea Foundation schools located in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
