US President Joe Biden said on Eid, Muslims are becoming victims of violence all over the world

Washington: US President Joe Biden said on Monday that Muslims around the world are becoming victims of violence. At the same time, Biden said that the Muslim community is making America stronger every day while it itself faces real challenges and threats to society. Biden said this on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at the White House. Biden said he had appointed a Muslim for the first time to the post of consulate in charge of international religious freedom.

“This is extremely important because today, around the world we are seeing many Muslims becoming victims of violence,” Badin said. No one should be harassed for their religious beliefs. The program was also attended by First Lady Jill Biden, Imam of Masjid Mohammad Dr. Talib M. Sharif and Pakistani singer and musician Arooj Aftab. Biden said, “Today, we remember all those who are unable to celebrate this holy day, including those from the Uighurs, Rohingya community, who are suffering from famine, violence, conflict and disease.” ‘

‘A chance to celebrate Ramadan and Eid peacefully in Yemen’
“Respect the signs of hope and progress in the world, including the ceasefire that has allowed people in Yemen to celebrate Ramadan and Eid in peace for the first time in six years,” he said. “But at the same time, we also have to acknowledge that there is much work to be done abroad and here at home,” Biden said. Muslims make our country stronger every day, even though they still face real challenges and threats to our society, including targeted violence and ‘Islamophobia’ (fear of Islam).’

In a tweet after the ceremony, Biden said: “Jill and I are extremely honored to celebrate Eid al-Fitr tonight at the White House and we extend our warm wishes to all who celebrate the festival around the world.” Happy Eid.’ Meanwhile, US Vice President Kamala Harris also extended Eid greetings to the people.
