Public sector fuel distributor companies issued notification of hike in the price of LPG cylinders. This increase in the price of LPG cylinder has been done in the midst of the continuing rise in gas prices internationally.
After this increase, the 14.2 kg cylinder of LPG in Delhi has become Rs 999.50. This is the record level for the price of LPG cylinders.
This is the second increase in the price of LPG cylinders within six weeks. Earlier on March 22 also, fuel companies had increased the price of gas cylinders by Rs 50.
In early May, the government had also hiked the price of commercial gas cylinders by Rs 102.50. With this increase, the price of 19 kg commercial gas cylinder in Delhi has gone up to Rs 2355.50.
