The former head of the KNB of Kazakhstan was suspected of intending to seize power


Karim Masimov, the former chairman of the National Security Committee (KNB) of Kazakhstan, has been investigated for an attempt to seize power by force. This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the KNB.

In addition to Massimov, former deputy chairman of the KNB – head of the Special Purpose Service “A” Anuar Sadykulov and deputy chairman of the KNB Daulet Yergozhin were also detained in the case, the report says.
