Tata will create panic this year, bringing together 5 powerful SUVs, see list

New Delhi. Over the years, Tata Motors has strengthened its presence in the Indian car market, especially in the SUV segment. Tata’s SUV lineup also includes the sub-4-metre SUV Punch, Harrier and the new-gen Safari.

In 2022, the Indian automaker is going to include many new SUVs in its lineup. Here is a list of 5 SUVs that Tata might launch in the next few months.

Tata Nexon EV 2022
The updated model of Tata Nexon EV, the best-selling passenger electric car in India, is to be launched. Tata is also working on a new variant of the Nexon EV, which will be equipped with a bigger battery pack than the current model. With a bigger battery pack, Tata has targeted a range of 400 in the new Nexon EV. The EV may also get some design upgrades.

Tata Harrier Facelift
A new variant of Tata’s popular five-seater SUV Harrier is also going to be launched in 2022. Tata launched the Harrier in 2019. Along with the design and feature updates, the facelifted Harrier is likely to be offered on the petrol variant as well. Tata is working on a new and powerful 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine for the Harrier. Currently, the SUV is available only in the 2.0-litre (170PS/350Nm) diesel unit.

Tata Sierra
Tata first showcased the Sierra SUV concept at the Auto Expo 2020. Recently it has been learned that Sierra may enter the Indian market in 2022. The SUV is likely to be offered with an electric one.

Tata Blackbird
Tata is going to increase its premium compact SUV lineup with the launch of the new Blackbird. This SUV will be offered in 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options. Once the Blackbird is launched, the Blackbird will compete with popular cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Volkswagen Taigun, MG Astor and Skoda Kushak.

Tata Punch iTurbo
The recently launched Tata Punch compact SUV has carved a niche for itself in this segment with its robust design, 5-star safety rating and aggressive pricing. Now Tata is ready to launch the Punch in a more powerful turbo petrol variant. This new variant of punch can come in the market after 2022. Currently, the Punch is offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol unit.
