All three cars are available only with the petrol engine. The same 1.2-litre petrol engine has been given in the Maruti Suzuki Ignis, which is also in the Swift and DZire. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. It can generate 82 bhp power and 113 Nm torque. At the same time, the Tata Punch has been offered with a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated engine, which comes mated to a manual or AMT gearbox. It can generate 85 bhp power and 113 Nm torque.
The Citroen C3 will get two engine options. It will get 1.2-litre NA petrol and 1.2-litre turbo petrol engines. It is expected to get a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 7-speed DCT. A 7-speed DCT can be found in the turbocharged variant. Its 1.2-litre NA petrol engine can generate 81 bhp power and 115 Nm torque while the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine can generate 109 bhp power and 190 Nm torque.
The Citroen C3 in the 1.2-litre NA petrol variant may be less powerful than the rest of the two but the turbocharged variant of the C3 makes it more powerful than all vehicles in the segment, including the Renault Kiger and the Nissan Magnite.
