The Nexon EV Max uses a 40.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. This battery pack is more capable than the 30.3 kWh battery pack of the standard model. This battery gives the car an ARAI certified range of 437 kms on a single charge. The standard Nexon EV has a certified range of 312.

The Nexon EV Max offers a longer range of 116 kms than the standard model. The new Nexon EV is capable of generating 143 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque from its 105 kW electric motor. At the same time, it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 9 seconds.

Full charge in just 56 minutes
Taking the charging experience to the maximum level, the Nexon EV Max is offered with 3.3 kW and 7.2 kW AC fast charger options. The 7.2 kW AC fast charger can be installed at home or in the office. With this, the SUV takes 6.5 hours to charge. At the same time, with a 50 kW DC fast charger, it can be charged from 0 to 80% in just 56 minutes. The company has given the option of 7.2 kW AC fast charger in the XZ + and XZ + Lux variants.

Safety features improved
Nexon EV Max gets ESP (Intelligent-Vacuum-less Boost and Active Control) with i-VBAC, hill hold, hill descent control, electronic parking brake with auto vehicle hold and disc brakes on all four wheels. According to the company, the new Nexon EV built on the Ziptron platform is as reliable and durable as ever.

Its waterproof and weatherproof battery and motor pack have been rated IP67. The battery and motor warranty of the Nexon EV Max is 8 years or 1,60,000 kms.

Nexon EV Max has 3 driving modes – Eco, City and Sport. It comes with the upgraded ZConnect 2.0 Connected Car technology with 48 connected car features. This will help in getting deep drive analytics and diagnostics. The add-on feature list includes smartwatch integration, auto/manual DTC checks, setting charging limits, monthly vehicle reports and enhanced drive analytics.

Equipped with new regenerative technology
With the Nexon EV Max, Tata Motors is introducing a multi-mode regenerative feature that will help customers adjust the level of regenerative braking through a switch. Customers can now adjust the regenerative brake in 4 ways depending on the driving conditions. The company has also added auto brake lamp with regenerative braking which automatically works when the regenerative braking reaches a certain level.
