Tata Motors sales up 74 percent, but Maruti and Hyundai sales decline

Auto Companies Sales: By the way, the automobile sector in India is constantly touching the heights. The waiting list for new cars is getting longer. The sales of automakers are also increasing.

Vehicle manufacturers have released the sales figures for the month of April. There has been a significant increase in the sales of Tata Motors this month. But the sales of Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki have declined.

Tata Motors said that its total sales in April this year increased by 74 per cent to 72,468 units as against 41,729 units in April last year.

The company said that the domestic sales of Tata Motors increased by 81 percent to 71,467 units. It was 39,401 units in April last year. A total of 41,587 passenger vehicles were dispatched to dealers this month, which is 66 per cent more than in April, 2021. In this episode, the sales of the company’s commercial vehicles in the domestic market doubled to 29,880 units. Last year this figure was 14,306 units.

Hyundai sales fall
In a way, where the sales of Tata Motors have increased, the sales of Hyundai Motor India have declined. The company says that its total sales declined by five per cent to 56,201 units in April last month. Whereas, in the month of April last year, the company sold 59,203 vehicles. In terms of domestic sales, the company had sold 44,001 units in April this year. Last year this figure was 49,002 units. The company said that its imports increased to 12,200 units from 10,201 units in April last year.

Maruti Suzuki sales also reduced
Like Hyundai, sales of Maruti Suzuki India have also registered a decline. The company’s wholesale sales declined six per cent to 1,50,661 units in April. In April last year, the company sold 1,59,691 vehicles. Hyundai says that its sales in the domestic market have declined by 7 per cent in April. With this decline, the company’s sales stood at 1,32,248 units as against 1,42,454 units last year. Sales of the company’s small cars – Alto and S-Presso – declined 32 per cent from 25,041 to 17,137 units.
