The company has tied up with e-commerce companies such as Amazon, BigBasket, CitiLink, DoT, Flipkart, LetsTransport, Moving and Yellow EV for supply of ‘Ace EV’ and has received orders for 39,000 units so far.
The company will also create a platform in the e-cargo category to provide solutions to meet the needs of the market.
Speaking on the launch of ‘Ace EV’, Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekaran said that the trend of sustainable transport system is global and it is also inevitable. He said that Tata Motors has made remarkable progress in the field of electric vehicles.
Chandrasekaran said, “We have already launched several models in the car segment.”
The company said that the ‘Ace EV’ is the first product to have ‘Evogen’ powertrain which can run 154 km on a single charge. This model has a 36 horsepower motor.
