Stock Market Closing: There is a ruckus in the market, Sensex slips by more than 1000 points to 54300 – News

Stock Market Closing: Today proved to be Black Friday for the stock market and Sensex-Nifty closed with a huge fall. Throughout the day, the market continued to trade in the red mark and the market could not recover from it. Sensex closed down by more than 1000 points. Sensex and Nifty closed down 1.84-1.68 percent.

At what level did the market close
The BSE Sensex closed at 54,303.44 today, down 1016.84 points or 1.84 per cent. On the other hand, the Nifty of NSE closed at 16,201.80 with a fall of 276.30 points or 1.68 percent.

These stocks remained in decline in Sensex
The biggest decline of 3.38 percent in the Sensex was in Wipro. Apart from this, both shares of Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, Infosys, Kotak Bank, Bajaj Finance, HDFC and TCS also closed in the red mark.

Red mark dominates the market since morning
Amid weakening of investor sentiment in global markets, the major index Sensex had lost nearly 600 points in the morning trade on Friday due to weakness in IT, banking and financial stocks. Traders said that the weakening of the rupee also affected the domestic stock markets.

What’s up with Nifty
Today, out of 50 Nifty stocks, only 13 stocks rose and the remaining 37 stocks closed trading on the red mark of decline. Bank Nifty got closed on a fall of 600 points and it has closed at 34483.

Today’s up-and-down stocks
Grasim, Apollo Hospitals, Divi’s Labs, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories and Asian Paints were the biggest losers while Bajaj Finance, Kotak Mahindra Bank, HDFC, Hindalco and Reliance Industries were the biggest losers.
