She was found infected with the corona virus.
Congress leader Jairam Ramesh said, “The Congress President has been discharged from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital this evening and has been advised to take rest at home.” According to the party, after being admitted to the hospital, it was found that Sonia Gandhi had a ‘fungal infection’ in her respiratory tract, which was treated. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has issued fresh summons to Sonia Gandhi to appear for questioning on June 23 in an alleged money laundering case related to the National Herald.
Sonia Gandhi was earlier asked to appear on June 8, but she was asked to give a new date to appear before the probe agency as she was infected with the coronavirus. The probe agency is already questioning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and he appeared again before the ED on Monday.
