New Delhi. Skoda has increased the price of its popular compact SUV Kushaq. The carmaker has updated the new price list on its official website. For some variants, an increase of up to Rs 70,000 has been made. Skoda launched the Kushaq SUV in June last year to take on the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. The price hike comes ahead of the carmaker launching the top-of-the-range Kushak Monte Carlo variant on May 9.
According to the new price list released by Skoda, the base model of the Kushak, which comes mated to a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine with manual transmission, will cost Rs 30,000. It was priced at ₹ 10.49 lakh (ex-showroom) at launch. Its price has gone up to ₹ 10.99 lakh as compared to earlier. The price of the manual variant of the Kushak has now increased by Rs 70,000.

The price hike in the automatic variant of the Kushak starts from the 1.0-litre Ambition variant. Now its price will be ₹ 14.59 lakh (ex-showroom), an increase of ₹ 25,000. The top-of-the-range 1.5-litre style variant with DCT gearbox and six airbags will cost ₹18.79 lakh (ex-showroom). This has been increased by ₹60,000.
The price of these variants has not increased
Prices of some variants of the Kushaq SUV such as the Ambition Classic manual and automatic variants have not been increased. The new Skoda Kushak Ambition Classic trim was launched last month at a starting price of ₹12.69 lakh (ex-showroom) and was positioned between the base Active and Ambition variants. The automatic version of the Ambition Classic is priced at ₹14.09 Lakh (ex-showroom).
Monte Carlo Edition of Kushak SUV to be launched next week
Skoda will launch the Monte Carlo edition of the Kushak SUV next week. The new variant will be on top of the existing variant. It is expected that it will come with several cosmetic updates, such as sporting more exterior design and interior color themes. Thanks to the Slavia, the Kushak has been able to increase the sales of Skoda in India in recent times.
