The sedition case will be heard again in the Supreme Court today. The top court asked the Center to tell the government how the rights of citizens would be protected till it reconsiders the law. The court had adjourned the hearing till this morning, directing the central government to clear its stand on this. The Court, however, expressed concern over the continuing misuse of the provision and suggested that guidelines may be issued to check the misuse or it may decide to keep it in abeyance till the exercise of review of the law is completed.
