New Delhi. Royal Enfield has announced a price hike on some of its popular bikes like the Classic 350 Retro Roadster and the 650cc Twins. These models have become a bit expensive. Earlier, Royal Enfield had increased the prices in January. The bikes that the company had increased the price of included popular bikes like Classic 350, Meteor 350 and Himalayan motorcycles.
Launched in September last year, the Classic 350 was originally priced at ₹1.84 lakh. Later on the price hike of the bike increased its initial cost to ₹1.87 lakh and now with the new hike, the entry-level Redditch variant starts at ₹1.90 lakh. The price of the top-of-the-line variant has gone up to ₹2.21 lakh.

This bike is too expensive
Both the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 bikes have also become expensive. The new hike is just under ₹3,000 (in case of the entry-level variant), however, the top variants now cost up to ₹5,000. Due to the new price hike, the Royal Enfield Interceptor is now priced between ₹2.88 Lakh to 3.15 Lakh and the Continental GT 650 is priced between ₹3.06 Lakh-3.32 Lakh.

The company did not tell the reason
Apart from the price hike, no other changes have been made to the bike. However, the company has not given any official reason for the latest price hike. The company is believed to have taken this step to offset rising input costs and shortage of semiconductors. Recently, the company has also changed the features of Meteor 350 and Himlayan bikes. Of these, the Tripper Navigation Pod is now available only as an optional accessory on these bikes.
