The Ministry of Digital Development and Communications of Mongolia and Roscosmos are discussing the prospects for Russian-Mongolian cooperation in the field of space, including on the issue of training a female cosmonaut of Mongolia. This was reported by the press service of Roscosmos.
It is noted that Russian specialists presented to the Mongolian side possible options for the preparation and implementation of the flight into space of the Mongolian cosmonaut.
The parties also agreed to fix the main directions and forms of cooperation in the form of a memorandum of understanding in the field of exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes. The project has already been transferred to the Mongolian side and is under consideration.
Recall that the first cosmonaut of the Mongolian People’s Republic, Zhugderdemidiin Gurragcha, made a space flight lasting 7 days 20 hours 42 minutes 3 seconds on the Soviet manned spacecraft Soyuz-39 and the Salyut-6 orbital station from March 22 to March 30, 1981.
