PM Modi writes letter to family of Swinder Singh:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has personally written a letter to the family of Savinder Singh, who was killed in the attack on the Gurudwara in Kabul last week. He has written this letter in the name of Ajmeet Singh, son of Savinder Singh. The Prime Minister has expressed his condolences to the family of the victim. Also prayed to the holy gurus to give strength to the family to overcome this grief. Savinder Singh lost his life in the terrorist attack on Gurdwara Karte Parwan on 18 June in Kabul.
The last Ardas of Savinder Singh was performed in the capital Delhi on Monday. Singh’s family prayed for the peace of the departed soul at Gurdwara Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji in Tilak Nagar. During this, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri also met the family members of the deceased. There he read out the letter of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Puri tweeted, ‘Condolences to Sardar Azmeet Singh ji, son of martyr Sardar Savinder Singh Ji, who was martyred in the cowardly attack on Gurdwara Karte Parwan in Kabul. Met other members of the grieving family today during last Ardaas.
In a personal letter to Azmeet Singh, the PM condoled the death of Savinder Singh. He said in the letter that Savinder Singh was famous among the minority community of Afghanistan. This was because of his service and devotion towards the Gurus. He will pray to the holy gurus to give strength to the family to recover in this difficult time. Savinder Singh and his life continue to inspire his family and friends.
In Taliban-ruled Afghanistan, on June 18, several explosions took place near Gurdwara Karte Parwan. India condemned this cowardly attack. Also said that he is closely monitoring the situation.
