Against the backdrop of rising inflation around the world, many products are becoming more expensive, but something is getting cheaper. Except graphics cards, as it turned out, prices are reduced for RAM. And they will continue to decline.
According to TrendForce analysts, demand in the RAM market is weakening, which is why manufacturers’ inventories are growing. This, in turn, leads to lower prices. Specialists expect DRAM prices to fall by 3-8% in the third quarter, and for some individual products they will fall even more.
Prices of DRAM-based products intended for PCs and smartphones will fall the most. Server memory is expected to fall in price by a maximum of 5%.
At the same time, during the current quarter, memory also became cheaper. For example, DDR5 for PC has fallen in price by 3-8%.
