New Delhi. Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj is soon going to launch the updated model of its popular bike Pulsar NS160. According to the report of BikeWale, recently this new bike has been spotted during testing. Some spy shots of the Pulsar seen have surfaced on the internet and it has been claimed that this model is the next-generation Pulsar NS160.
The new Pulsar can be quite different from the current model in terms of design. One of the biggest differences will be in the underbelly exhaust, which has been seen in the spotted bike. The new bike can also get a kick-starter, which is not seen in the bike of this series. Apart from this, smaller disc brakes have been given with thinner tyres. Bajaj may also make changes in the tuning of the 160cc engine, so that its performance can be increased.
How is the engine of the bike?
It is powered by a 160.3 cc, oil cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 4-valve DTS-i, BS6 engine that produces 17.2 PS of maximum power at 9000 rpm and 14.6Nm of torque at 7250 rpm. Its engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox transmission.

This bike has been launched in Burnt Red and Plasma Blue color variants. Apart from this, white oil wheels have been given in them, which make them quite spectacular in look. The front and rear fenders of these bikes are of carbon fiber textured.
Will this be the price?
The current variant of Bajaj Pulsar NS160 is priced at Rs 1.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) and the updated bike could be more expensive than this. However, we will have to wait to know the margin of price hike. The motorcycle will compete with Hero Xtreme 160R, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Suzuki Gixxer.
