Market Last Week: Market cap of top 10 Sensex companies decreased by Rs 2.29 lakh crore – News

Stock Market Last Week: The last week again brought a period of decline for the stock market. The market capitalization (market cap) of the top 10 Sensex companies collectively declined by Rs 2.29 lakh crore last week. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) was the biggest loser.

Selling phase in Sensex and Nifty
Last week there was a huge sell-off in the stock markets. Last week, the BSE Sensex fell by 1,465.79 points, or 2.63 per cent. On the other hand, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange saw a loss of 382.50 points or 2.31 percent.

Reliance Industries, TCS, Infosys all fell
The market capitalization of Reliance Industries declined by Rs 44,311.19 crore to Rs 18,36,039.28 crore in the reporting week. Market valuations of information technology companies Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and Infosys collectively declined by Rs 45,746.13 crore. The market capitalization of TCS declined to Rs 12,31,398.85 crore. At the same time, the valuation of Infosys came down to Rs 6,21,502.63 crore.

bad condition of banks
The market valuation of country’s top banks HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and State Bank of India (SBI) collectively declined by Rs 34,970.26 crore last week. HDFC Bank’s market position declined by Rs 16,433.92 crore to Rs 7,49,880.79 crore. SBI’s market position came down to Rs 4,12,138.56 crore with a loss of Rs 2,231.15 crore. While the market valuation of ICICI Bank declined by Rs 16,305.19 crore to Rs 5,00,744.27 crore.

HUL, LIC’s condition is slim
During this period, the market capitalization of Hindustan Unilever fell by Rs 21,674.98 crore to Rs 5,16,886.58 crore. LIC’s market position declined by Rs 57,272.85 crore to Rs 4,48,885.09 crore.

HDFC, Bharti Airtel remain in loss
HDFC’s valuation declined by Rs 17,879.22 crore to Rs 3,95,420.14 crore. Telecom company Bharti Airtel’s market position declined by Rs 7,359.31 crore to Rs 3,69,613.44 crore.

RIL ranked number 1 in the top 10
In the list of top 10 companies, Reliance Industries remained at the first position. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Infosys, Hindustan Unilever, ICICI Bank, LIC, SBI, HDFC and Bharti Airtel respectively.
