Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) on Monday said its total sales rose 25 per cent to 45,640 units in April. Earlier in April 2021, its total sales were 36,437 units.
The company said in a statement that its passenger vehicle sales in the domestic market grew by 23 per cent to 22,526 units in April as against 18,285 units in the same month last year.
Commercial vehicle sales during the month under review increased to 20,411 units as compared to 16,147 units in April 2021.
M&M said its exports last month stood at 2,703 units as against 2,005 units in the same period a year ago.
Royal Enfield sales jumped 17 per cent to 62,155 units in April. The company had sold 53,298 units in the same month last year.
Hinduja Group flagship company Ashok Leyland said on Monday that total commercial vehicle sales grew 42 per cent to 11,847 units in April. The company told the stock exchange that it had sold 8,340 units in the same month last year.
Ashok Leyland reported that its domestic sales grew by 41 per cent to 11,197 units as against 7,961 units in April 2021.
