Long line will not have to be used for Aadhaar service, all the work will be done while sitting at home – News

New Delhi. Aadhar card Users will soon be able to access all the services related to UIDAI from the comfort of their homes. Generally, you need to find your nearest Aadhaar center to update any required information or enroll for Aadhaar. After that you had to visit these centers to fulfill the basic needs. Now UIDAI is working to make these services available at the homes of Aadhar card holders.

UIDAI is training the trainers to make these services available at home. UIDAI is training postmen for this purpose to make Aadhaar service available at doorsteps. Reports have revealed that 48 thousand postmen working for India Post Payment Bank are being trained for this particular work. These postmen will be trained to reach remote parts of the country to provide services like linking Aadhaar with mobile number, updating basic information and even enrolling children in the Aadhaar database. The most important thing is that these services will be booked online or through telephone. However, there is no official information about it yet.

New trainers will be provided with some basic equipment to record or correct entries in the UIDAI database. They will be provided with the necessary hardware like a laptop and biometric scanner to provide the required Aadhaar service. UIDAI may also induct around 13,000 banking correspondents working with the Common Service Center of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.

Apart from this, there will also be Aadhaar Seva Kendras in all 755 districts of the country. These centers will act as hubs for posting and updating the data from the collection point to the mainframe. It will provide faster updates and increase the speed of enrollment. Till now there are 88 UIDAI Service Centers in 72 cities.

At present, UIDAI provides some online service for the card users. For example, users can download e-Aadhaar from the UIDAI website. You can also generate a Virtual ID or VID to keep your personal Aadhaar data safe by issuing a token number called VID. You can also track your service request after visiting the physical center.
