The company has postponed the launch of Hero MotoCorp’s Vida electric scooter for the time being. This is the third time the company has done this. Earlier, this upcoming e-scooter of Hero was announced by the company to be launched in March. After that the company pushed the launch forward and announced it for July. Now for the third time this electric scooter has been postponed by Hero till the end of the year. The company will now launch this electric scooter at the end of 2022.
After all, why is the company repeatedly postponing the launch of Hero Vida Electric Scooter? Regarding the reason behind this, the company says that due to the lack in the supply chain, scooter production is being affected, due to which its launch has been postponed. On the other hand, the launch of the scooter at the end of the year also indicates that the company can also launch it in the festive season coming towards the end of the year.
Talking about this delay in the launch of Hero Vida Electric Scooter, Swadesh Srivastava, Head, Emerging Mobility Business Unit (IMBU) of the company has said that we are committed to provide the highest quality products to the customers. At present, due to the situation prevailing at the global level, there is a severe shortage in the supply chain. Therefore, there has been a shortage of many types of components including semiconductors. For this reason the production of scooters is getting affected. We have postponed the launch till the end of the year so that the customers do not face such hassles at the time of delivery. However, no fixed date has been given by the company for the launch of Hero Vida Electric Scooter. It is quite possible that Hero may launch this electric scooter in mid-October-November, when the festive season at the end of the year is at its peak.
In this regard, Srivastava indicated that we keep the customers at the fore, it would be a wiser decision to launch the scooter in the coming festival season instead of the earlier date fixed for the scooter launch in July.
Hero Vida Electric Scooter was introduced by the company in March this year. The company had given several trademark applications for Vida in November last year itself. There is a huge demand for electric scooters at present. But, there is a huge shortfall in supply with the companies at this time. Therefore, the company thought it better to postpone its launch.
Hero MotoCorp’s latest e-scooter is being produced at the company’s Green Manufacturing Plant in Chittoor, India. According to some information about its features that have been revealed so far, according to the Hero Vida Electric Scooter, alloy wheels can be seen in the front and rear, in which the front wheel will be 12-inch and the rear wheel will be 10-inch alloy wheel.
