Lassi, Juice, Badam… Navjot Sidhu’s ‘Seven Meal Plan’ in Patiala Jail, know the complete diet chart


Chandigarh: Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu, lodged in the Central Jail of Patiala, has been given the work of ‘Munshi’. Along with this, coconut water, juice, lactose-free milk, almonds and other special things have been included in their daily diet on the recommendation of doctors. On Sidhu’s request, a board of doctors has recommended a special diet for the Congress leader. Let us tell you that Sidhu’s medical examination regarding food items and health was done on 23 May at Rajinder Hospital in Patiala district of Punjab.

Sidhu’s Morning Special Breakfast
Sidhu’s special diet includes a cup of rosemary tea or a glass of coconut water in the early morning, a cup of lactose-free milk for breakfast, a tablespoon of flaxseed/melon seeds/chia, five-six almonds, a walnut and pecan nuts. Between breakfast and lunch, doctors gave Sidhu a glass of juice (beetroot, cucumber, basil leaves, amla, carrot etc.) or juice of any fruit like watermelon, cantaloupe, kiwi, guava, or sprouted black gram, green gram, Cucumber/tomato/lemon/avocado salad is recommended.

Physicians have recommended to give one roti of cucumber, seasonal green vegetable, jowar / water chestnut / ragi in lunch. In the evening, a cup of tea made from low-fat milk and half a lemon with 25 grams of paneer or soya paneer has been asked to be given. The doctors have given Sidhu mixed vegetables, lentils, soup or black gram soup and a bowl for dinner. Have asked to give green vegetables. Physicians have told Sidhu to give a cup of chamomile tea and a spoonful of isabgol in lukewarm water before sleeping at night.

Sidhu got the job of ‘Munshi’ in jail
A jail official said that Sidhu, who came into politics from cricket, has been entrusted with the job of scribe. On the other hand, due to security reasons, Sidhu will do this work while staying in his barracks. In fact, according to the prison rules, prisoners are divided into skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labor categories. Unskilled workers are paid Rs 40 per day, semi-skilled Rs 50 and skilled workers Rs 60 per day for the work assigned to them.
