According to Hindustan Times Auto, Kia India has released a list of region-wise dealerships in the country where the EV6 will be made available.

The Kia EV6 can be booked by paying a token amount of Rs 3 lakh. The car can also be booked online at the company’s authorized dealership or website. The EV6 will be delivered first to the customers who book first. The Kia EV6 is being brought to India as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) in the country. The new EV6 is based on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), which will form the basis of the brand’s future range of electric vehicles.

The Kia EV6 gets a sloping roof, angular rear windows, LED headlight, LED strip tail light and a large rear windscreen. The company claims that its performance is going to be much better due to its design. The company will also launch the GT Line performance trim along with the standard model of the EV6 in India.

Will be equipped with fast charging technology
The EV6 has been supported with ultra-fast charging. It can be charged up to 10-80 percent in just 18 minutes using a 350KWh charger. The EV6 also comes with two-way charging technology, which can be used to charge other devices from the car. In India, the EV6 will be offered with a 77.4 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.

You will get a great range of 528 Km
The EV6 will be offered in rear wheel drive and all wheel drive versions. The rear wheel drive generates a maximum power of 226 Bhp from a single motor, while the all wheel drive is capable of producing 321 Bhp of power from four motors.

The company claims that the rear wheel drive version can be driven up to 528 km and the all wheel drive version 425 km on a full charge. The EV6 has three drive modes – Eco, Normal and Sports. Along with this, this car is also equipped with regenerative braking technology.

The interior of the Kia EV6 is going to be very special. In its cabin, a dual screen setup will be given for the driver screen and infotainment system. It will come equipped with connected car technology, two-spoke steering, augmented reality heads-up display and a host of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) safety features.

The top-spec GT model of the EV6 was recently spotted in India, so it is more likely that this variant will be available on sale in India as well. After the launch of the EV6, Kia Motors will introduce the e-Niro electric car. This will be an affordable electric model of Kia which will be locally manufactured. This is a part of the carmaker’s plan with Hyundai to launch six new electric vehicles in India by 2024.
