Kashmir News: Terror continues in Kashmir, four terrorists killed in a single day, encounters in Kupwara and Kulgam


Srinagar: Operation of security forces against terrorists is going on in Jammu and Kashmir. On Sunday, four terrorists were killed in separate encounters in Kupwara and Kulgam districts. According to the police, two terrorists were killed in Kupwara while two terrorists were also eliminated in Kulgam. Police say that some terrorists are still hiding and the operation is still on.

According to the police, one terrorist killed in Kupwara has been identified as a Pakistani national, who had links with Lashkar-e-Taiba, while the identity of the other is being ascertained. On the basis of information received from arrested terrorist Shaukat Ahmed Sheikh, the security forces launched an operation in Lolab area of ​​Kupwara, following which an encounter broke out, police said.

Two terrorists killed in Kupwara
The police in Kashmir region tweeted that during the search, terrorists hiding at various places opened fire on the security personnel, to which the security forces retaliated and in this encounter one terrorist was killed. According to Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) Vijay Kumar, the slain terrorist has been identified as a Pakistani national, who was associated with the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.

Kumar tweeted, “Along with the arrested terrorist, two-three more terrorists are trapped in this encounter.” Later the police said that one more terrorist was killed in the Kupwara encounter and the encounter is still going on.

Lashkar and Jaish terrorists killed in Kulgam
Police say that the second encounter took place in Damhal Hanji Pura area of ​​Kulgam in South Kashmir where two terrorists were also killed. The Inspector General of Police said that one of them had links with Lashkar while the other was a Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist. “Two terrorists killed so far have been identified as Haris Sharif (Lashkar) from Srinagar and Zakir Padder (Jaish-e-Mohammed) from Kulgam,” he tweeted.
