Jio bp MG Motor And Castrol Partnership For EV, Along with the government, car companies and different players from the private sector are engaged to promote electric mobility in India. MG Motor India and Castrol India are now set to partner with Jio-BP to explore mobility solutions for electric cars. As part of this partnership, the three companies seek to promote the adoption of electric vehicles by building a charging infrastructure and EV service network. After this partnership, it is believed that in the coming times, the adoption and mobility of Electric Vehicles (EV) in India will accelerate.
EV buyers will benefit
Under this partnership, Jio-BP, MG Motor and Castrol will explore the possibilities of setting up infrastructure for four-wheeler EV charging and expanding Castrol’s existing auto service network to meet the needs of electric vehicle customers . Jio-BP is building an ecosystem that will benefit all stakeholders in the EV value chain. The company also launched it last year while manufacturing two of India’s biggest EV charging hubs. The electric mobility business of this joint venture will provide charging infrastructure to Indian consumers, which operates under the Jio-BP Pulse brand.
MG’s best effort
With the Jio-BP Pulse mobile app, customers can easily find nearby charging stations and charge their EVs with ease. This partnership is in line with Jio-BP and MG Motor’s commitment to provide electric car customers with a vast and reliable charging infrastructure and accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in India. With the launch of the ZS EV as India’s first electric internet SUV, MG has taken several steps towards building the electric vehicle ecosystem. The ZS EV covers a distance of 461 kms on a single charge. As part of this partnership, Castrol will develop and expand its existing multi-brand auto service network and express oil change centers to begin serving four wheeler electric cars.
