Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on Thursday thanked his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi for his greetings on Israel’s Independence Day. Bennett said the Jewish nation “appreciates its friendship” with New Delhi and that together the two countries can do a lot of good in this world.
Prime Minister Modi on Thursday greeted the residents of Israel on their Independence Day and expressed hope that the two countries will further strengthen ties in the years to come. He made the remarks in a video message shared on his Twitter handle on the 74th anniversary of Israel’s Independence Day.
Responding to PM Modi’s greetings, Israel’s Prime Minister Bennett said in a tweet, “My dear friend, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, thank you for your well wishes. Israel attaches great importance to its friendship with India. Together we have the power to do a lot of good in this world!’ India and Israel are close friends and have been victims of terrorism. Israeli civilians were also killed in the Mumbai terror attack.
