‘India is being divided due to increasing polarization’, Congress accused the Center during the meeting of Bharat Jodo Yatra


New DelhiThere are Lok Sabha elections in the country in 2024, while before that there are assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh. In view of these elections, the Congress, away from the power of the Center, has started gearing up. The party has started planning for the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ announced by the party in Udaipur ‘Nav Sankalp Shivir’ on Sunday. Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi was also present at the first meeting of the party’s central planning group for the visit. The Bharat Jodo Yatra will start from Kanyakumari to Kashmir on October 2, the day of Gandhi Jayanti.

Yatra will start from 2nd October
Senior party leader Digvijay Singh said in a tweet, ‘The first meeting of the Central Planning Group for the India Jodo Yatra was held today. The journey from Kanyakumari to Kashmir will start on October 2 and the planning work has started for it. Rahul Gandhi attended the meeting. Singh is the convener of a group set up by Congress President Sonia Gandhi to plan the yatra.

According to the Congress, the Bharat Jodo Yatra will help unite the country. The party alleges that India is being divided through increasing polarization in the country. Other party leaders present in the meeting included Jairam Ramesh, Shashi Tharoor, Jyoti Mani, Indian Youth Congress chief BV Srinivas, Mahila Congress chief N. D’Souza and NSUI chief Neeraj Kundan.
