India Covid Updates: Corona cases increasing continuously, 12,213 new cases reported in the country, positivity rate at 2.35 percent


New Delhi: Once again there is a spurt in Corona Cases In India. According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health (MoFW), 12,213 new corona cases were reported in India on Thursday, while 7624 patients have recovered and gone home. Talking about active cases, this number has increased to 58,215. The daily positivity rate stands at 2.35 percent. According to the data, after the death of 11 more people due to infection in India, the death toll has increased to 5,24,803.

What is the daily positivity rate and vaccination status
The number of patients under treatment has increased by 4,578 in the last 24 hours. The national rate of infection free is 98.65 percent. According to the updated data, the daily infection rate is 2.35 percent, while the weekly infection rate is 2.38 percent. So far, a total of 4,26,74,712 people have become infection free in the country and the death rate from Kovid-19 is 1.21 percent. At the same time, more than 195.67 crore doses of anti-Covid-19 vaccines have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.

Corona caught pace in the capital Delhi and Maharashtra
If we look at the data released on Wednesday in the national capital Delhi, there is a steady increase in the cases of corona. According to the Health Bulletin, 1375 new Kovid cases were reported in Delhi. Talking about Maharashtra, more than 4024 corona cases have been reported there in the last 24 hours. The infection rate in Delhi has come down to 7.01 percent. A day before this, 1118 cases were reported in the capital Delhi. Talking about Maharashtra, due to increasing cases, the number of active cases has reached 19261.

Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.

On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it crossed 30 million. On January 26 this year, the cases had crossed four crores.
