On Thursday, the Ministry of Health (MoHFW) released the latest figures of Corona. In India, the maximum number of 2,47,417 new cases of corona virus (Covid-19) have been reported in 236 days. At the same time, 84,825 people have gone home after recovering. After these figures, the number of active cases in the country has reached 11,17,531. On the other hand, if we talk about the Daily Positivity Rate, it has reached 13.11 percent. Meanwhile, 380 people have died due to this virus. After this, the total death toll in India has reached 4,85,035.
5488 Cases of Omicron
Talking about Omicron Variant in the country, its number has crossed 5 thousand. Currently, the number of people infected with this new variant is 5,488. According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry till 8 am on Thursday, there were 620 cases of Omicron form in the country in a day, which is the highest ever. Out of these, 2,162 people have become healthy or have left the country. Maharashtra has the highest number of 1,367 cases of Omicron. This was followed by 792 cases in Rajasthan, 549 in Delhi, 486 in Kerala and 479 in Karnataka.
27,500 new cases will come in Delhi today
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain gave information about new cases of corona on Wednesday. Jain said that, today there will be about 27,500 cases of corona in Delhi. The hospitalization rate of corona patients is stable for the last 4 days which is a good sign. Bed admission rate is 15%, we have no plan to impose lockdown. The data is telling that the cases of corona in the capital will decrease rapidly.

According to the data, the number of patients under treatment has increased to 11,17,531 which is the highest in 216 days, while the death toll has increased to 4,85,035 due to the loss of 380 patients. According to the ministry, the number of patients under treatment is 3.08 percent of the total cases of infection, while the national rate of people recovering from Kovid-19 has come down to 95.59 percent. On May 21, a total of 2,57,299 cases of corona virus were reported in a single day. The number of patients under treatment for Kovid-19 increased by 1,62,212 in the last 24 hours.
The number of infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakh on 7 August 2020, 30 lakh on 23 August 2020 and 40 lakh on 5 September 2020. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November. On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it crossed 30 million.
