New Delhi, May 4 (PTI) The Civil Aviation Ministry has extended the operational authority of GMR Group’s Hyderabad International Airport for another 30 years. This information was given in a statement on Wednesday.
So far, the GMR Group had the rights to operate the Hyderabad airport till March 22, 2038. The airport was inaugurated on 23 March 2008.
In a statement issued by the GMR Group, it has been said that the Ministry of Civil Aviation has agreed to its and Hyderabad International Airport Ltd. (GHIAL) on 20th December, 2004 under the terms of the Concession Agreement.
GHIAL, GMR Infrastructure Ltd. is a subsidiary of. He has received a letter from the ministry in this regard.
The ministry has extended its operational authority for the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad from March 23, 2038 to March 22, 2068.
