Finland has no plans to join NATO. This was stated by Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto.
“Finland is not discussing the issue of accession with NATO, and Finland does not have such a project for the future,” said the minister, whose words are quoted by the portal Devdiscourse.
The head of the Finnish Foreign Ministry added that Helsinki’s foreign policy will not change.
Earlier, the leadership of the alliance reported that the organization is ready to accept Sweden and Finland, if these countries have such a desire.
