New Delhi: Today, the festival of Eid-ul-Fitr is being celebrated in the country in an atmosphere of peace and harmony. In the traditional way, early morning people of the Muslim community offered Namaz. For this, special arrangements have been made by the administration in different cities. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Ministers and leaders of different states have greeted the people on Eid. Tejashwi Yadav, former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar and leader of RJD, has tweeted in Urdu saying Eid Mubarak. Sharing the picture, he wrote, ‘Many Eid Mubarak to all Ahl-e-Watan. See the beauty of this festival – there is no difficulty in hugging everyone, lesson of fraternity, message of national unity. I pray to God that this tradition becomes stronger and lasts forever.’

President said, an opportunity to strengthen brotherhood
The President said, ‘Eid Mubarak to all countrymen, especially Muslim brothers and sisters! Celebrated after the holy month of Ramzan, this festival is a holy occasion to strengthen brotherhood and goodwill in the society. Let us all, on this holy occasion, take a pledge to serve humanity and improve the lives of the needy.

PM best wishes
The Prime Minister has tweeted and greeted the countrymen on Eid-ul-Fitr. He wrote in the tweet, ‘May this auspicious occasion increase the spirit of solidarity and brotherhood in our society. I wish everyone good health and prosperity.

Mamta wrote, may Allah bless everyone
Writing Eid Mubarak, Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted, ‘Wishing everyone lots of happiness, peace, prosperity and good health. Pray that our bonds of unity and harmony get stronger. May Allah bless all. ,

Former Congress President and MP Rahul Gandhi has also tweeted and congratulated the countrymen on Eid.

Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan offers prayers on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr at Chandrasekaran Nair Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram.
