Varun Dhawan said, “Even South Industries has given 7-8 big flops. And that too happened because nothing was released for almost 2 years. So I think if a good film comes, it will work.
Varun Dhawan is busy promoting his upcoming film Jug Jug Jio. The actors are promoting the film in full swing. Kiara Advani’s pairing with Varun Dhawan will be seen on the big screen for the first time in the film. A lot is being expected from this film of Varun and Kiara.
Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan admitted that there is no guarantee that films will be hits in Bollywood. During the interaction with the media, Varun said that ‘nobody knows… let’s say on camera today no one knows… no one knows anything… to be honest, I don’t think trade knows anything’. I don’t know if even the most successful producers or directors know, nothing is. Nobody knows anything.’ Kiara Advani was also present during this interview. Varun further added that many films were flops and on the other hand, the Hindi series of 3 South films – Pushpa, RRR and KGF Chapter 2 – proved to be huge grossers.
Varun Dhawan on the success of these films said, “I think cinema is doing well right now. Every audience has the right to choose what kind of cinema they want to watch. Hollywood movies are working for so many years anyway. And people are loving South movies and that’s why they are watching them. I myself thoroughly enjoyed KGF – Chapter 2. I had a great time watching it. No wonder it’s the biggest grosser right now. is one of those.”
However, the success of these 3 South films happened at the same time when Bollywood gave 7-8 big flops. To this Varun Dhawan replied, “Even South Industries has given 7-8 big flops. And that too happened because nothing was released for almost 2 years. So I think if a good film comes, it will work. And there are definitely a lot of good films coming out in the Hindi film industry.” According to Varun Dhawan, “Audiences will not see a bad film, whether it is an English, Hindi or South film.”
