Boeing Starliner will return to Earth at 12 o’clock tonight, NASA will have a big advantage – News

The new Boeing Starliner capsule is set to return to Earth on its maiden unmanned voyage to the International Space Station (ISS) on Wednesday. This vehicle will fly as NASA’s upcoming vehicle in the future. The Starliner began its test flight a week ago from Cape Canaveral US Space Force Base in Florida. The CST-100 Starliner’s undock from the ISS and return to Earth was set for 2:36 pm (EDT), i.e. 12:06 am (IST), after which it would take five hours to land. Will take time

News from Reuters Report says that if all goes according to plan, the mission will conclude with this capsule-shaped ship with an airbag-cushioned parachute over the desert near White Sands, New Mexico at 6:49 am PDT (7:19 am IST, Thursday) will land.

The Starliner was lifted into orbit last Thursday with an Atlas V rocket developed by Boeing-Lockheed Martin’s joint venture United Launch Alliance. Its main purpose was to dock with the ISS. Reports suggest that several of its onboard thrusters had failed on the way to reach its target, despite which it achieved its target.

A successful Starliner mission would give NASA another reliable option for getting astronauts to and from the space station.

Since the resumption of crew flights to orbit from American soil in 2020, nine years after the Space Shuttle program ended, the US space agency has been completely replaced with Falcon 9 from SpaceX, the private company of billionaire Elon Musk. Rockets and Crew Dragon capsules had to be relied upon.
