The Ather 450X is the company’s flagship scooter priced at Rs 1,43,136. At the same time, the base variant 450 Plus costs Rs 1,24,126. All prices are after FAME-2 subsidy ex-showroom, Mumbai. Talking about the flagship scooter Ather 450X, a 2.61 kWh lithium-ion battery has been used in it. This scooter gives a range of 85 kms on full charge. Multiple riding modes have been given in it, from which speed and performance can be changed as per the need.
The Ather 450X can be driven at a top speed of 80 kmph. This scooter provides 26 newton meter of torque which is equivalent to a 350 cc bike. This scooter accelerates from 0-60 km/h in 6.50 seconds.
Recently, the company has launched Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) for the Ather 450X electric scooter. This feature will be available on the scooter as an accessory for which customers will have to pay an additional cost. Customers will have to pay an additional cost of Rs 5,000 for TPMS in Ather 450X.
Ather Energy is the first electric scooter manufacturer in India to offer this system in its vehicles. Let us tell you that TPMS is not available in Ola’s S1 and S1 Pro scooters coming in the premium scooter range. Ather Energy seems to be ahead of Ola Electric in terms of providing new technology and features in scooters.
Recently Ather has joined hands with leading EV charging player Magenta ChargeGrid to make its charging stations available in Indian cities. This partnership will give Ather access to multiple Magenta ChargeGrid locations across India. Magenta ChargeGrid is currently expanding its charging network to 35-40 cities in India, aiming to establish a network of around 11,000 chargers by the end of FY2023.
Since its launch, Ather Energy has actively focused on building fast-charging networks and has also released its IP for charging connectors to all OEMs. At present, Ather has installed over 330 fast-charging Ather grid points across 35 cities in the country.
Ather has registered the highest sales of its electric scooters in the month of May. According to the company, the highest ever sales were recorded in May 2022 with 3,787 units of e-scooters being sold. Although this is not a huge increase compared to April. In April 2022, the company had registered sales of 3,779 units. At the same time, in March 2022, this figure was of the sale of 2,591 units of scooters.
