Army Chief’s ‘swag’ in the most difficult areas of Ladakh adjacent to the border, these pictures can disturb China


New Delhi: land Army Chief General Manoj Pandey visited some of the most difficult and inaccessible advance spots in eastern Ladakh and reviewed India’s overall military preparedness during his three-day visit to the region amid the border dispute with China. Officials gave this information on Saturday. He said the Army Chief interacted with troops at several places along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in the high altitude region and took stock of the ground situation. General Pandey concluded his three-day visit to Ladakh on Saturday. Officials said the Army Chief along with senior commanders visited some of the most difficult and inaccessible forward places in eastern Ladakh and inquired about the prevailing situation. Army tweeted, ‘Gen Manoj Pandey visited forward areas in Ladakh to review operational preparedness. He interacted with the soldiers and appreciated them for their perseverance and high morale.

Senior commanders briefed General Pandey on the overall security situation in eastern Ladakh at the ‘Fire and Fury’ Corps headquarters in Leh on Thursday. The ‘Fire and Fury’ Corps is responsible for guarding the LAC with China in the Ladakh region.

Referring to the eastern Ladakh border dispute, the Army Chief had said that the aim of the Indian Army is to restore “trust and peace” between the two sides, but added that “it cannot be a one-sided affair”. He also said that the Indian Army aims to restore the status quo in Eastern Ladakh before April 2020.
