BMW is going to launch this electric SUV in the market soon, but before that the company has released some teaser pictures of it. In these images, the new BMW iX1 electric car can be seen undergoing its winter testing session at BMW’s Arjeplog facility in northern Sweden.
According to the information, like BMW’s entire new electric portfolio, the fifth-generation of the eDrive powertrain will be used in the BMW iX1. The company is going to use dual-motor setup and high voltage battery pack with all-wheel drive system in this car.

According to an official statement issued by BMW, the driving range of this car under the WLTP cycle of the BMW iX1 can be from 413 to 438 km. However, at the moment, other technical details on the powertrain of the new BMW iX1 are not available.

But it is expected that the same battery pack will be used in this car as the Mini Countryman EV will be used as both the cars will share the same production line in Leipzig. Let us tell you that the company is also going to introduce the next-generation of ICE engine powered BMW X1 soon.

Interestingly, the company may introduce the new-generation BMW X1 and BMW iX1 Electric together in the market. There will also be plug-in hybrid variants of the BMW X1 which will be premiered globally. The all-versatile powertrain of the new BMW X1 could be unveiled in the fourth quarter of 2022.

On the other hand, if we talk about the Indian market, then the company can introduce them in India any time next year. Let us tell you that recently BMW India is going to launch a new electric luxury sedan in India after its BMW iX luxury SUV and MINI Cooper SE.

It is believed that its price can be announced on May 26. It will also be the first electric sedan in the luxury car segment in India. The BMW i4 is based on the same CLAR platform that is used to build the company’s standard BMW 4 Series.
