‘With the blessings of Mother Kali, Vivekananda ji had become absorbed in public service to the service of God’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that by taking the blessings of Mother Kali, Vivekananda had absorbed the service of the Lord from public service. He said that earlier the journey to Pavagadh was so difficult that people used to say that at least once in life one should have darshan of the mother. Today, the increasing facilities here have made difficult darshans accessible.
‘Center of all religion equality in Pavagadh’

Here on one side is the Shaktipeeth of Maa Mahakali, and on the other side there is also a heritage of Jain temple. That is, Pavagadh has in a way been a center of all-religion equanimity with the historical diversity of India.
The flag hoisted after 500 years on the top of the Mahakali temple
Ashok Pandya, the trustee of the famous Mahakali temple located in Panchmahal district of Gujarat, told that the spire of the temple was destroyed by Sultan Mahmud Begada about 500 years ago. However, the pinnacle of this temple, built in the 11th century on the Pavagadh hill, has been re-established under a redevelopment plan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Mahakali temple on Saturday. After this, the Prime Minister also unfurled the traditional red flag on the newly constructed summit.
