Adani Wilmar’s Q4 net profit down 26 percent at Rs 234.29 crore

New Delhi, May 2 (PTI) Edible oil major Adani Wilmar Ltd’s consolidated net profit declined 26 per cent to Rs 234.29 crore for the fourth quarter of the last financial year ended March. The company gave this information on Monday. The company has said that its profits have come down due to increased expenditure on tax.

The company had made a net profit of Rs 315 crore in the same period a year ago.

In the information sent to the stock exchanges, Adani Wilmar said that its total income increased to Rs 15,022.94 crore in the January-March quarter of the last financial year, from Rs 10,698.51 crore in the same period of 2020-21.

During the last financial year, the company’s net profit increased to Rs 803.73 crore from Rs 728.51 crore in the previous financial year.

The company’s total income during the financial year increased to Rs 54,385.89 crore from Rs 37,194.69 crore earlier.

Recently, the company raised Rs 3,600 crore through an initial public offering (IPO) and was listed on the stock exchanges.
