New DelhiCongress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi amid protests against the new scheme Agnipath Agitation related to army recruitment. Rahul Gandhi said that by repeatedly giving false hope of jobs, he has forced the youth to walk on the ‘firepath’ of unemployment. Gandhi also said that 16 crore jobs were to be given in eight years, but the youth only got the knowledge of frying pakodas.

He said that 16 crore jobs were to be given in eight years, but the youth has got the knowledge of frying pakodas only. He said that only the Prime Minister is responsible for this condition of the country.

Gandhi appealed to party leaders and workers not to celebrate his birthday on Sunday. In a message to leaders and workers on Saturday night, Gandhi said the youth of the country were angry and protesting on the streets and Congress workers should stand with them.

Referring to the protests taking place in many parts of the country against the Agneepath scheme for recruitment in the armed forces, Rahul said, “The youth of the country are troubled. We must stand with them and their families at this time.” “I appeal to all Congress workers and well-wishers across the country not to celebrate my birthday in any way,” he said.
