New Delhi: Kia India has achieved a new milestone in the Indian market. The company has crossed the sales mark of 1.5 lakh units of its compact SUV Kia Sonet. Let us know that Kia Sonet was launched in India on September 2020, within 2 years of which the company sold 1.5 lakh units. Sonet accounts for 32 per cent of KIN’s total sales. It is a popular vehicle in the compact SUV segment. Customers also get IMT technology in Kia Sonnet. This is the reason why 25 per cent of the buyers belong to the IMT-equipped model. With a share of around 15 per cent in the compact SUV category, the Kia Sonnet is a strong contender.

Sonet customers have shown great enthusiasm for the top variant of the vehicle, which contributes 26 per cent to its total sales. The growing demand for automatic transmission can also be seen in the sales of Sonnet, as 22 per cent of buyers prefer their Sonnet to automatic transmission. The Sonet has also been popular with the diesel powertrain which contributes 41 per cent to the overall matrix. The two most preferred colors for sonnets are Glacier White Pearl and Aurora Black Pearl, making them a popular sight on Indian roads, accounting for 44% of the total dispatch.
